The Tokin Buffalo
Rooted in the herd. Grown for the good stuff.

About The Tokin Buffalo

We're a hometown dispensary built by people who actually like this stuff, not a corporate storefront running numbers. Come for the flower, stay because nobody here makes you feel dumb for asking a question.

The name comes from the actual fence line out back, the property line where the first plants ever went in the ground, long before there was a storefront to put them behind. The buffalo came later, mostly because somebody decided a dispensary needed a mascot with more personality than a leaf logo. He stuck around.

We opened The Tokin Buffalo to be the kind of shop we'd actually want to hang out in, no lectures, just good product and people who know it. Every dispensary we'd walked into before that felt the same: sterile counters, a menu full of numbers instead of names, and a budtender who made you feel dumb for asking what a terpene was. So we built the opposite.

These days it's still small, still local, and still run by people who taste, smoke, and eat everything before it goes on the shelf. If we wouldn't buy it ourselves, it's not going in the case.

Owner

Meet Naqua

Proud woman-owner, running the shop alongside her husband, and wrangling eight kids at home.

Naqua opened The Tokin Buffalo to build something real for her community, from the ground up. These days she runs it side by side with her husband, the two of them keeping the shelves stocked and the lights on in between school runs, homework, and everything else that comes with eight kids under one roof.

"Proud Mama, and best edible chef you'll ever meet!"

What We're About

No Attitude, Ever

Ask a beginner question, get a real answer. Nobody here is going to make you feel small for not knowing the difference between an indica and a sativa yet.

We Try Everything First

Every product on this shelf got tasted, smoked, or eaten by someone on staff before it was allowed to be sold. If the crew wouldn't buy it, you won't find it here.

Actually Local

Locally owned, locally operated, and buying from growers we know by name whenever we can. This isn't a franchise wearing a local paint job.
